A couple years ago I did the whole give your account thing. Everyone knows the story. I was 17. I’m now 20 and I have Been using Monzo since it happened. Monzo are randomly closing my account in a month for no reason. I’ve contacted them before anyone suggests. I’ve tried these other ones like n26 and starling but I’ve had no luck. It’s getting closer and closer to my account being closed and I need some way to get paid and pay bills . Some problem may suggest using a parents account but that’s not really what I wanna do at 20! I’ve got 3 years left until it’s removed I’m pretty sure but that mean I need a banking alternative fkr the next 3 years. Is there anyone that can help lead me in the right direction.

(I understand it was stupid. It was years ago I’ve had the talk enough times)

Hi mate.

Sounds very frustrating, normally people go to these online banks when they get a CIFAS marker however in your case these alternatives are closing. Can't say I've heard of this situation before.

I would definitely keep pursuing more of these online bakn accounts like n26 and etc. Get a list of like 10 of them and try applying to all of them until one of them works, because they are of course the best alternatives to major banks.

However if that still doesn't work, I came across this alternative.

I doubt you'll be able to get even a basic account with A CIFAS marker. So it looks like "prepaid cards" are something you should look into. Here's some links for popular ones. https://www.money.co.uk/prepaid-cards.htm

More info on prepaid cards:

Unfortunately it's not equal to a basic account with a bank where you can get paid into it, but you can still pay for things online like bills and stuff.
