Edexcel A2 kinetics exam question

I am not sure how to approach/answer question b and c 

I would appreciate any guidance.

You have the equation for speed/velocity in the question - so if they want the greatest speed, then I would sketch the graph and look for a maximum point between 0 and 4.

Whenever you see "greatest ____" in a variable acceleration question - you should always sketch it for the interval they've given you and look for the highest point.

For part (c) they are asking for distance travelled. From your sketch of the v equation between 0 and 4 seconds, you just need to look for the area bounded between the line and the x-axis, as distance travelled on a velocity time graph is just the area under curve/line.
