We have enabled latex on the forum. This means you are able to write formulas and equations on our forum.

To do so, you have to put your LaTeX code in between latex tags, like the following:

If you want to write a quadratic equation, you would write it like this:

Which outputs this:

 x^2 + 5x + 6 = 0

====================================================

You can also write fractions in latex.

Will give you this:

 \frac{1}{2}

You can even write things like this

\frac{x}{2+\frac{x}{2-\frac{x}{3}}}

====================================================

Subscripts also work, so this:

Would give this

O_{2}

Which can eventually look like this

6CO_{2(g)} + 6H_{2}O_{(l)} > C_{6}H_{12}O_{6(s)} + 6O_{2(g)}

====================================================

Clicking preview before you post the latex code is also useful as you will see what your code looks like

That's actually so helpful.

What about chemical formulae (e.g. O2)

@m-tawofi

Yeah, here's how subscripts work

This:

Would give this

O_{2}

Which can eventually look like this

6CO_{2(g)} + 6H_{2}O_{(l)} > C_{6}H_{12}O_{6(s)} + 6O_{2(g)}
