i don't really understand the question stated above neither the mark scheme for it. Can someone please give a simplified explanation for it please?

before equilibrium, the reaction is a mole ratio of 0.75:5. After equilibrium the acetal has 0.42mol which means for every molecule, 0.42 has to be added to the products and subtracted from the reactants.

then you do 0.75-0.42= and you do 5-2(0.42) to get both answers
